Vera and Toby are Married!!

I was so incredibly honored and humbled to capture a dear friend's wedding this past October up in Calaveras County; in beautiful gold country! Vera has been a dear friend of mine since we met almost twenty years ago at Santa Rosa High School...we have a close group of girlfriends still....so incredibly blessed. Vera is one of those people you just feel lucky to know and love. She and Toby are so incredibly perfect for one another and the weekend was a gorgeous celebration of their union and adoration of one another. I couldn't believe how many near and dear friends came to celebrate! The wedding was at his parent's amazing property and so full of bliss. There were many sweet details like mason jars for beer, gorgeous paper lanterns, pumpkin place holders, Vera wearing red cowboy boots, sweet, handwritten vows, tributes to Vera's Czech roots and of course, Toby's love of music....a Bay Area bluegrass band. Thanks for letting me partake in your specialunion Vera and Toby...I love you both to pieces. ♥

The Oh-So-Lovely Bilbro Family

On New Year's Day I was SO lucky to spend my afternoon with an adorable family in anticipation of their baby on the way! 2012 is inevitably gonna be a pretty rockin' year for this family.....new home, new baby, and new winery, Limerick Lane. I adored watching their bond and their boys are so playful and adorable and will be such BIG brothers. And.....Alexis is about as stunning as they come with only a month and a half yet...she looks fantastic. Thanks again Alexis, Jake, Cruz and Kobi...I simply cannot wait to meet your new addition AND to photograph her. You've made such a darling family! Congrats!

Holiday Family Sessions.....long overdue!

I cannot believe I haven't posted on my blog in over a month....that's how busy I have been! The holiday season family shoots were so much fun and I was INCREDIBLY lucky to work with almost 20 amazing families over the past two months. So, for this post I thought I'd put up some of my favorites from those family sessions. The greatest thing about being a Photographer is getting to know these lovely local families and seeing how much they cherish one another. I had the opportunity to photograph a few families I have worked with in the past as well and it's always so sweet to see how the children grow and change; even in a short amount of time. I cannot thank all my clients enough for allowing me to capture these sweet moments for you and help you preserve special memories. Three Sweet Cousins

I had such a lovely time photographing the three most beautiful little girls and their families this afternoon. I worked with Jaime at Sonoma Country Day School and it has been wonderful to reconnect with her and meet her darling daughter, hubby and her brother and his family. We spent some time exploring the field behind our house and enjoying the beauty of fall. It was chilly out and the kids were so brave and did a wonderful job! Three sweeties under the age of 4 kept me on my toes. I enjoyed getting to know this sweet family and the girls were just precious. Thanks so much Jaime, Sami, Areamy and Rob....your girls are amazing and it will be extra special to see the look on their Grandparents' faces when they see their surprise holiday gift. I truly love this family! I always have a wonderful time with them when I photograph them and they are so easygoing and adventurous. I cannot believe how much Zella is a charmer and a smart little cookie and Wyatt is such the explorer and full of information. We had a wonderful time tromping through the gorgeous meadow by their home and it was such a perfect fall afternoon. I love all the gorgeous colors during fall in Sonoma County. Baby Cash Thomas....9 days new!

On Monday afternoon I was so lucky to spend some time with the sweetest, most perfect and mellow 9 day old and his family. You would have never known that Heather just had a baby; she looks amazing and was so calm and content! And, Big Sister Savannah was so smitten with her new brother and such a sweet pea to hang around with. I got to hear all about her being Snow White for Halloween, her friends at preschool and she even painted her fingernails for our photo session. Too bad I wasn't better at joke telling....but I got some big smiles anyway! It was wonderful to see a family so in awe of their new addition and lovely to capture these fun memories for them. I have known the Seaton family for years and it is special to reconnect. Thanks again Heather, Ryan, Auntie Amy and Savannah....congratulations and enjoy Cash! I LOVE his name.

The G Family....at St. Vincent's

I was tickled pink when I heard from a friend whom I met while getting my Teaching Credential at Dominican University almost ten years ago. Allison is a beautiful mother of three darling little boys who were full of adventure and ready to explore St. Vincent's in Novato. Also a new locale for me that I will certainly visit again! I don't know if it's an old orphanage or convent, but it is simply stunning....gorgeous architecture and backdrops. Allison and Dave's three boys were absolutely delightful and the pictures show that! It was neat to see how much they adore eachother and remind me of their Mom and Dad. Thanks again Allison and Dave, your family is SO lovely and it was wonderful to see how much your boys have grown and changed. :)

Senior....Connor Williams

Last week I spent some time photographing an amazing Senior from Cardinal Newman High, Connor Williams (also my gorgeous niece Kaela's main squeeze!) This boy is on the baseball team, an actor in school productions, a volunteer at the Boys & Girl's Club, a top-rated student....not to mention SO fun to be around and has wonderful, old-fashioned manners! Seriously....I didn't know that was possible these days. I had such a fun time with you Connor and let me know when you are ready to finish up our session at the new Newman ball field. Best of luck to you in your college endeavors and I look forward to watching your path ahead...I KNOW it will be an exciting one!

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of photographing the sweetest little 16 month old who was full of adventure and loved walking around the vineyards and pulling her Daddy's old yellow wagon. We had a wonderful time exploring the old Fulton Winery and couldn't have asked for a more perfect fall evening. A week ago I was honored to take photos for some friends who I have known for years. Mike and I went to grade school together, I met Candice in middle school and now our own children go to school together...it's pretty special. Well, this family is so sweet and dear and you just want to spend time with them. Not to mention they ALL have the most BEAUTIFUL blue eyes and such warm and loving personalities. Mike and Candice are such wonderful parents and their children just glow. It was a perfect fall afternoon up near Annadel and we had fun exploring and running around under the oaks. Dashing Dylan

This little one kept me on my toes during our session! Dylan was full of energy and loved exploring through Annadel. He especially loved playing with the rocks and pretending he was a train conductor. Dylan has the most handsome blue eyes and is a sweet, curious little thing. Julie, Dylan's Mama, is a fabulous hairdresser at Splits in Santa Rosa and she did me and my bridal party's hair for my wedding years ago. I was honored to photograph Amy Chiurco for a maternity session to welcome baby Lucia who is due in a couple months. A few weeks ago I photographed the cutest siblings ever! Alex is a Kindergartner and Nick is 2 and they were on the go and having fun. Both these beauties have the most gorgeous blue eyes and were ready to pose and smile for the camera. This past Sunday I photographed the oh-so-sweet Turberville family. We had a lovely time exploring the property behind us and utilizing the fields both Ted and I grew up running around in here in Rincon Valley. Kai Hunter is the most whimsical little 15 month old....full of smiles and up for adventure. He was excited to roam around and amazed me with his zest and personality. My Sweet Callie Quinn

This week we've been up at my parents' lake cottage and I had time to capture some moments with my own little almost one year old. My sweet, and sassy, Callie Quinn...can you tell she's already got SUCH a personality? These were taken at Ceago Winery, a gorgeous villa winery in Nice on Clear Lake. We took a boat ride over on the morning of the 4th of July. The grounds were blooming with lavendar and I just adore the Tuscan theme of the winery. It was such a fun morning and Callie was hamming it up as usual. I'm loving time with my baby girl and am so happy to have some recent photos of her since she'll be all over the place before we know it!

Baby Beau's Eight Weeks Already!

I was able to spend some time with the cutest little munchkin that I photographed at just three weeks old this past week and my how he's grown. It was pouring rain at our first session, so I met with them again to take some outdoor shots. This family just makes me smile. :) They are so in love with their new baby boy and it shows. Supporting Science at Sequoia

Over the past two weeks I have been doing mini family photography sessions as a fundraiser for the Science program at Sequoia Elementary, my son's beloved school (I also went to Sequoia many years ago!) It has been so rewarding to do what I love AND to support a school that has touched my family. During these sessions I've been able to get to know 11 wonderful families who are part of the Sequoia community. And, I worked closely with Lisa Fitzsimmons, another talented local photographer with whom I've begun to collaborate. Thank you to the families who supported this cause.....I loved capturing moments with each of you! 70% of the proceeds are going directly to the Rincon Valley Educational Foundation....we can make a difference and ensure that our fantastic Science program and facilitator continue. Darling Baby Beau Howard

Despite the crazy June weather and pouring rain outside, I had a newborn photo shoot with the CUTEST little 18 day old I have ever seen. Baby Beau is so sweet, calm, relaxed.....also alert and very inquisitive. He was such a sport. I enjoyed capturing Julie and Brian's delight in being new parents....they are the sweetest little family. I can't wait to finish our session with some outdoor shots when weather permits. On a gorgeous evening this past weekend I got to take one year photos for Mizz Zoe Belle. She was so full of smiles and energy and loved posing for the camera. I had such a fun evening photographing a long-time friend's darling little ones this past Friday night! They loved walking around Papa's backyard and exploring. I just loved seeing my friend Abbey and her husband in all of them. Jessica is such a sweet, bright young girl and was ready to pose for the camera. The twins were ready for adventure. Although Brady wasn't too sure of me at first, he warmed up and by the end of our session, was full of smiles and giggles. Darling Luke has one pretty cute smile, not too mention curls to die for. This past Saturday night I was incredibly honored to photograph a Surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary Party for some friends of ours' parents. Spring has Sprung!

I finally had the chance to get some photos of my own darlings! It was a perfect spring evening last night and the kids got all dressed up to capture an Easter gift for the Grandmas and Grandpas. Over the weekend I had the honor of photographing the most darling cousins! Zella and Wyatt are the cutest brother and sister, two years apart and full of smiles and zest. I grew up with Mom's big brother and he is now the Godfather of one of my sons....so this family is near and dear to me. This past weekend I was at the Wee Three Children's Event at the Well's Fargo Center promoting my photography and this sweet little family came to see me. The Delightful Peterson Family

Yesterday evening I had such a fun photo session with the Peterson family! We met at an estate up off Reibli Road and it was a perfect evening. The sun was shining and spring colors were everywhere. Jill and I have known eachother for years since we were kids and were reacquainted about six years ago when we started having children of our own. These children are so sweet, funny, charming...not to mention photogenic! Keegan was my rockstar....full of poses and smiles. Peaceful Baby Evie and her Wonderful Family

Yesterday afternoon I was delighted to photograph my dear friend Moira's three week old baby girl, Evelyn Siobhan, and her growing family. It was so amazing to see Moira glowing as a new Mother and to meet this beauty. She really is one of the calmest, most aware and alert little newborns I have ever met! Evie almost seemed to look right into you....so delicate and peaceful. Not to mention she's stunningly gorgeous too....I mean look at those big brown almond eyes! I visited the home they were staying at in Glen Ellen and despite the rain and unreliable sun, we had a wonderful photo session. Moira and I had so much fun dressing Evie up and talking and laughing. Sweet Caroline and Charming Corbin

I was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph these two darlings yesterday and we had so much fun together! Caroline is about as cute as they come and was all smiles and sillies for the camera. We found a sweet little spot on Brush Creek Road with a field of mustard, then headed down to old railroad square for a bit. Corbin is a baseball lover and enjoyed telling me all about his upcoming season and about his buddies at school. These two have such great personalities and were a breeze to photograph....and it shows! We even got some darling shots of Mom with her loves. This afternoon I had the opportunity to photograph my dear friend from middle school and high school's darling growing belly. She is such a gorgeous person (inside and out) and has a sweet, fun, charming family. I was so incredibly honored to take her maternity photos today! Despite the dumping rain outside, we had some down time together at their cozy home in anticipation of their baby boy's arrival in just six weeks. A Gorgeous Afternoon in the Mustard Fields

Today we had an outing with one of my besties and her sweet girls who my boys just adore. We wanted to capture some fun shots for our husbands for Valentine's Day. Too bad we couldn't actually keep the secret since Aimee's car battery died and we had to call them to get some help. It was a gorgeous afternoon and we got some amazing candids of Aimee with her three beautiful girls and some of my little ones too. I just looooove how the mustard photographs...we are so lucky to live in this beautiful county! Thanks for the fun memories Aimee....what a blast we all had! Still Can't Believe....

...that my little baby girl is six months old yesterday! I remember holding her in my arms after a wonderful birth and feeling so thrilled at the thought that I now have a daughter. Yesterday I had an incredibly fun engagement photo shoot with the oh so sweet Eva and Scott. Eva is the little sister of a dear friend of mine from high school. We spent some time up at Trione Vineyards, then headed to River Road to catch the mustard in full bloom. Lastly, we went to the Stoke Family property on Old Redwood Highway where there are a ton of knick knacks....old cars, a telephone booth, even the Stoke Family Chapel. Just in time for the holidays, I spent some time at the Smith's house photographing their three beautiful children. We mixed it with a playdate which worked out wonderfully! I had a photo shoot with my own children and my talented and beautiful niece and nephew....a surprise for my parents for Christmas. We had a great time laughing, talking and spending time together. The rain cleared for an afternoon thankfully after weeks of rain...we even got some sun! Kaela and Grant were incredibly patient and kind with their three cousins who can be mighty rascally at times I might add. It's so amazing to see the Wall in all of them and to marvel at how much they've grown and changed. Nana and Papa were incredibly happy with the results! Thank you to Auntie Stina for all your support and help! Aren't we lucky to have cousins closeby? Now if only we could get a smile out of Callie!

An Afternoon with the Lovely McGarva Children

In mid December I had the honor of photographing the McGarva children. I grew up with both Mom and Dad so it was fun to spend time with their children and see so much of their parents in them. These children just marvel me...they're bright, funny, sweet, beautiful and such charmers. Owen is such a fantastic boy and his interests are varied. You can tell he'll always be the most loyal, protective big brother to his three little sisters. Taylor is a gem...happy, confident, athletic, funny and such a sweet girl. And, Sophie....she's got some sass and knows how to put on a show. She is also my youngest son's girlfriend...well, so he says. Then there is the newest McGarva, Kylie Quinn...my daughter's BFF. It was such a fun afternoon and this family is truly incredibly lucky and blessed. I had a blast photographing them. Thank you Stacey and Josh!

I was able to steal a few shots of my son's dear friend Rylie at her home in early December. We were lucky to get a little sunshine on a brisk winter afternoon.
